Re: how to use rotary encoder/knob/dial from USB keyboard

i have found without difficulty the HID id of the keybaor din the list. There is no "the HID ID of the keyboard". There may be MANY HID IDs of the keyboard. Even for just the one keyboard you hold in your hand, to the computer it can present itself as many separate devices. For example my...

Re: how to use rotary encoder/knob/dial from USB keyboard

I presently use a DELL keyboard SK-8135. A quick search showed me that this keyboard requires "drivers" (not really drivers, as I discussed above) for the special functions like multimedia keys and the encoder knob, to be recognised in windows: https://www.dell.com/community/Desktops-Gene...

Re: how to use rotary encoder/knob/dial from USB keyboard

Try different HID devices from the list at the top of the 'Learn' dialog (don't forget to re-check the 'learn' box down the bottom each time you change it). Your single physical device (the keyboard) might present itself as more than one logical device to the system. For example, this one physical m...

Re: Vm Banana and bluetooth headset with microphone

You can use the bluetooth headset in the desired fashion. There is a limitation: You must use the "Hands-Free" output device, and not the "Stereo". When you use the "Stereo" device, it uses all of the bluetooth bandwidth for audio, and it can sound very nice (such as fo...

Re: VB-Cable command-line options?

The installer does not change the default device, Windows does, and it can not be prevented. There is only one known workaround for this, use SoundSwitch (a free, open source app) , and I'd suggest a 'force profile' trigger, to automatically set your default device whenever it changes (effectively p...
