Re: A Better Way To Search The Forum

I've seen the duck duck go box used on another website. I'm assuming implementing that solution would not require nearly as much resources as doing it internally.

Re: 5.1 never ending story

Hmm, in order to avoid confusion in future, I must say.... these issues are almost entirely unrelated.... You are right. You had a different problem preventing you from getting 5.1. My point was if someone is searching for an answer to passing 5.1 through VM, they may have your problem, my problem ...

A Better Way To Search The Forum

The last time I checked, the vb-audio forum search function was broken; that's what I'd call it. For those that don't have a workaround, here is a method that seems to work well. Use this format when doing a google search. I use duck duck go, but it should work with any search engine: site:forum.vb-...

Re: 5.1 never ending story

Glad to see a resolution here. I had a similar problem and ended up using a different solution. The forum search function is poor, so I will add a link to the other thread, so if someone stumbles upon this thread, they will be able to access both threads/solutions. https://forum.vb-audio.com/viewtop...

Re: Having to restart the audio engine regularly

I also have the UMC404HD. Since I turn it off daily, I always have to re-select ASIO: UMC ASIO Driver from A1 hardware output drop down menu. If you're using Windows 7, 8 or 10, the latest UMC driver v4.59 would likely be the best for you. I wouldn't bother with ASIO4ALL, which is generic and no lon...

Re: Potato CPU Prolonged Spike

Removing the Charge 4 Bluetooth speaker from A4 reduced CPU load to 15-16%. And the speaker was not even in use or connected when it displayed the over 40% load. Is this to be expected? Seems high to me. Edited to add: There seems to be some useful info to reduce CPU load given by Vincent at this th...

Potato CPU Prolonged Spike

I noticed recently Potato is using a high amount of CPU. This state is continuous. This can't be considered normal?

Re: Need Voicemeeter To Output 5.1 Sound

Hi Andres, Not really off topic as it pertains to my issue. I had heard about the black edition (MPC-BE) recently and tried it last light without success. Then after reading your last comment, I changed the output to a Voicemeeter virtual output and it worked! Then I tried to troubleshoot MPC-HC whi...

Re: Need Voicemeeter To Output 5.1 Sound

Hi Andres, So I've got it set up as you've described and it tests correctly in sound settings. I found out as you have that MPC will not play the files (my own and those from your link) back correctly while Windows Media Player will. I've been using MPC for years and am pretty disappointed in it's f...
