Re: "Legacy Kernel Caller" preventing sleep
this is pending on device and audio service in use. Windows usually does not enter in Sleep mode if an audio stream is running.

Re: ASIO driver buffer size values choices are set too high
64 sample at 44.1 kHz means 1.4ms, this could work on very optimized Windows config (and very well programmed ASIO driver). 32 sample at 44.1 kHz means 0.7ms, this could not work (Windows cannot guarantee to call audio callback below 1ms). and most of ASIO driver proposing 32 or 64 samples are not r...

Re: Uninstall before update?
simply save your configuration first (Voicemeeter menu -> save settings).
and check your default playback / recording device after of course, the problem is more in the Windows behavior that can change default device when uninstalling or re-installing audio driver.

Re: Advice on chosing Clock Source
because it's usually better to use your physical ASIO device as Master to reduce latency and to have a strong synchro between your Virtual ASIO driver and your physical ASIO device. Internal synchro is made for users without physical device for example or without a physical device running in the wan...
