strange, i will try to reproduce this problem...
Note that Voicemeeter is providing similar service than Asio4all, and in some case can be useless...

you can check it again with latest available version (you could also try KS instead of MME).
but I will take another look on WDM, i know the last version solved some DTS issues, but not with all sound card, i will investigate...

The VB-CABLE cannot be installed directly from its ZIP package.
you must first extract all files in a temporary folder or whatever directory
(next version will be compiled in a single EXE to avoid this kind of problem).

if connecting musical instrument, the best is to use the Virtual ASIO point (not the Virtual Cable I/O).

Setting every audio point in the same samplerate will surely increase audio quality since SRC won't be needed (SRC = sample rate converter). Anyway Voicemeeter (and VB-CABLE) are able to deal with different samplerate without any problem. The Voicemeeter Preferred Sample Rate is the one used to open...
