VoiceMeeter Stuttering

Post by Ankh »

I've been having some problems with VoiceMeeter stuttering. It will work fine for anywhere from a few minutes to a few days, then it will randomly start sounding like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IEiYghpi-zE

I'm currently using a USB Blue Snowball as my microphone, plugged directly into the motherboard's USB slots. The problem didn't start until I got a new case (NZXT H510i), however since it's plugged directly into the motherboard I don't see why that would have any affect on anything. I've tried every single USB slot on the motherboard and it continues to stutter randomly.

I've tried re-installing VM and restarting computer, but to no avail. I'm sure it's an issue with VoiceMeeter because when I play back my microphone through the control panel sound options while VM is stuttering, it sounds completely normal.

This has been happening for around 2 weeks now and I still haven't found any leads on what could be causing it, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

These are my current settings:

Hi. It is recommended to select a hardware device as A1 Hardware Output instead of a virtual audio device (A1 is the main device in Voicemeeter). ¿Have you tried to listen to your USB microphone through A1 hardware output by using a hardware device? (for example your integrated audio Speakers or Headphone output)

Not quite sure what you meant in the first part, I have the A1 set to "MME: VoiceMeeter Input (VB-Audio Virtual Cable)". Thought that was what we were supposed to output it to?

Hi. Typically the A1 and A2 hardware outputs are used to send audio (from the different inputs) to hardware devices (for example speakers or headphones), Typically you don't need to send your microphone to a hardware output (A1 or A2) but to a virtual output (identified by the letter B).
As a simple test try to select a speaker device from the A1 dropdown and check if the microphone sounds good.
