auto-reconnect USB microphones?

I've used VoiceMeeter potato now for about 5 1-hr sessions using 4 microphones, into Zoom. I notice in every session at least one disconnect of a microphone happens. I presume this is a weakness of Windows 10 or my USB port expander.
However a feature request: could VoiceMeeter auto-reconnect upon discovering a drop? Reconnect to the same device name.

This problem can be simulated by: unplug one microphone. The level meter drops to 0. No other failure indicator is given by VoiceMeeter.
Manual recovery is by plugging it back in. The microphone always returns with the same USB name.
In this simulation, and in the case of my real drops, I simply reselect the device at the top of the VoiceMeeter column, re-clicking on the same name, and VoiceMeeter reconnects it. Sure would be nice if this were automatic!!

Thanks!
Rich

you can use the menu -> "restart audio engine" and possibly assign a shortcut:

Hi Vince, yes I can do the restart, which takes many seconds. In preference to that I can do the re-select of the audio input, which takes less than 1 second.
*However* this manual recovery requires that I first notice the loss of connection. That is the bad part, where I don't notice the loss occurred until someone is speaking for a few seconds and I'm not seeing the green level meter activating! So I've lost a portion of the conversation.

Therefore my request: Voicemeeter should auto-reconnect upon discovering a drop. and it should check for drops about every 0.5 second.

Is this possible to submit?
Thanks!!
