Channel routing

Post by Alain »

Hi,

Following situation:

Voicemeeter Banana
- Input A1 - WDM USB sound card 1 Line In
- Input A2 - WDM USB sound card 2 Line In
- Input A3 - WDM USB sound card 3 Line In
- Output A1 - WDM Asus sound card

What I would like to do is:
- Input A1 -> Left+Right of Output A1
- Input A2 -> Center+LFE of Output A1
- Input A3 -> Left+Right Surround of Output A1

I know this is possible to do with the Composite Patch, but then I cannot control the volume anymore. I currently can do this with a vst host (Element LT), but it adds another layer (delay) to the audio chain.

Is this possible to do directly within Voicemeeter?

Regards,
Alain

well, this is not possible to re-route voicemeeter output BUS in voicemeeter input.
what is the workflow requiring this ?

I would like to run Apple TV HDMI audio output through PC for volume control (Voicemeeter), bass rerouting (Equalizer APO) and room correction (Dirac).

Current workflow:

Apple TV HDMI -> HDMI 5.1 LPCM Audio extractor
HDMI 5.1 LPCM Audio extractor Left + Right RCA -> USB soundcard 1 Line In
HDMI 5.1 LPCM Audio extractor Cen + LFE RCA -> USB soundcard 2 Line In
HDMI 5.1 LPCM Audio extractor LS + RS RCA -> USB soundcard 3 Line In

Voicemeeter Banana
- Input A1 - USB sound card 1 Line In
- Input A2 - USB sound card 2 Line In
- Input A3 - USB sound card 3 Line In
- Patch insert A1, A2 and A3 through Element LT (vst host)
- A1 -> A4 Left + Right
- A2 -> A4 Cen + LFE
- A3 -> A4 LS + RS
- Output A1 (Equalizer APO attached) -> ASUS soundcard -> amplifier -> 5 speakers

So it would be nice if Voicemeeter could do the 'Element LT part', as it gives less of a delay I assume. But if it is not possible I'm happy with the current setup and/or invest in the future for a >6 channel input sound card (Focusrite/Behringer/Tascam etc).
