In some cases, audio driver can be bad installed or partially de-installed and prevent to have an audio system running correctly.
Before re-installing our VB-CABLE or Voicemeeter, it's important to check that the related audio drivers are correctly removed from the system, in the Windows Control Panel / Device Manager:
if you find some part of it in the Device Manager , you may right click on it (to get contextual menu) to de-install it manually, by the windows procedure.
Start by the Sound Controllers (and reboot after)... then check the Audio I/O and possibly remove them by the same way (right click on it and deinstall device).
After a last REBOOT (PC restart) if the Device manager shows nothing else, you can re-install our VB-CABLE or Voicemeeter (and don't forget to REBOOT your computer after).

Are VB-Audio Virtual Devices Well Installed ?
Your VB-CABLE or Voicemeeter VAIO's must appear like on the picture below for Playback and Recording Devices. Otherwise you should re-install them correctly.

Re: VAIO / VB-CABLE Installation Checking
Missing input or output device ?
even after re-installation it is missign an input pin or an output pin?
SOLUTION: Check the Enable / Disable Status of your audio device in the sound control center.
