Presonus AudioBox USB 96 is crackling on Audio Peak

just got a Presonus AudioBox USB 96 and using it with Windows MME Driver or ASIO driver show that it is crackling on audio peak.

used Driver Pack: PreSonus_UniversalControl_Installer_v3.6.0.66460.exe

Driver implementation does not support 0dBfs sound. It is crackling between at least -0.2 dBfs and 0dBfs
Consequently the ASIO driver cannot be used, the Windows driver can be used by settings the output volume to 95%

I note the problem seems to be there since a long time but maybe not correctly identified:

Crack on Audio Peak is usually not pending on driver installation but on the driver processing.
in other words the problem is located inside the driver, in the way the audio signal is interpreted and converted for the DAC.
