Only Transcribes for 5 Minutes and then Stops
Set-Up: a Single VB-Cable. Set VB-Audio Cable to Output and Input. Windows 10 desktop and a Windows 7 laptop. Both using Google Docs to record.
Goal: To be able to transcribe up to at least an hour or more. MP3 and MP4 Files.
Problem: When using the VB Audio Cable setup; after 5 minutes of transcription, it stops transcribing. It’s so consistent, I could set my watch to it.
During the recording the Google Docs microphone is red and is lit up with 2 rings around it indicating that it’s receiving the audio.
At the 5 minute mark; the Google Docs microphone rings disappear with the microphone still red. To me, this indicates that the microphone is still in listening mode – but there is no transcription taking place. It’s completely stopped.
I have to turn the microphone off by deselecting it and then turn it back on to resume the transcription.
