i use potatoe as an add on for ham radio (routing audio from software defined radio and modding my mic audio for tx)
in the first 3 channels of potatoe i see a "notch" around 760hz (above and below works fine!) ... does others see similar things??
i am using vb cable a and b ... and hifi cable ... all set to 48000samples (dvd quality) cause the sdr software also uses 48k ... and also a lot of digital modes software can be set to 48k ... so thats what i set ALL cards to (real or virtual)
where can that notch come from?!?
funny thing is ... it is ONLY in the first 3 channels (regardless what virtual cards i set to what channels) ...
channel 4 or 5 are ok (no notch at 760)

you may post screenshot to show what you do exactly and let people reproduce it.
without knowing your audio path from source to speaker or capture app, we cannot understand what's going on...

the "source" of the tone plays no role
in the first three channels of potatoe i can clearly see and hear a notch at 253 and 760 hz (plusminus a few hz)
regardless from where the tone comes (can be my sdr software or any tone generator software) ... and regardless what virtual cable i use on what channel (i tried all different combinations) ... the first three channels show that "notch"
channel 4 and 5 is fine (no notch found)
for testing i used a signal generator soft and made a sweep from 240 to 260 and another from 700 to 800 ... and in both sweeps your hear that the level drops at 253 and at 760 hz ...
yes i also tested "your" tone generator (lf generator) software and had the same results
depending if i set my "main" speaker out to vac ... or vac a (here in screenshot channel 3 and 4) i hear or do not hear that notches
so it seems there is an "audio bug" somewhere hidden in the software
no i did not use any eq or fx or whatever thingy ...

when you say "first 3 channel" you mean "first 3 input strips" right ?
your 2x red arrows show hardware input strip 3 and 4 but i see no signal coming in (peak meter show nothing) is it normal ?

Anyway, right click on INTELLIPAN to check you have a neutral cursor position on the 3 panels (COLOR PANEL, MODULATION and POSITION panel).
Double click on it to set the cursor in neutral position.

there is no iput signal on the screenshot cause i stopped the sweep while doing the screenshot
yes i mean the first three inputs
screenshot shows how i tested the different behave of the channels 1-3 and channel 4/5 ... i also could compare channel 1 with channel 4 (same result)
as you can see i HAVE set intellipan to the grey spot (neutral) ... all is set to be flat response but i clearly can hear the notch at 253 and 760 on the first three channels
if needed i can add a recording of the sweep(s) that you also hear that damned notch

AAAAHHHH ... THAT WAS IT!!
first three channels did not have modulation to neutral (set to lower right corner)
no idea if i caccidently set it there or if that is a default setting in your soft
or to say it short ... no more notch if modulation is set to that grey spot

that "right click on intellipan" made the trick
