VB Macro buttons and tape recorder options

I use Voicemeeter Banana to record using a USB Mic (hardware input 1)and recording from Streamyard (Voicemeeter VAIO) using tape recorder options. Is it possible to use Voicemeeter Banana to record and use VB Macro buttons too? So far I haven't been able to get it to work. When I press a macro button to play a sound recording no sounds is heard in the recording. Sounds from my USB mic and from Streamyard show up. Any ideas
