Voicemeter and Elgato 4k capture utility

So over a year ago I haven't been able to record gameplay from my pc using elgato. So i purchased an hd60 x thinking it may have been an issue with the old card. But come to find out something happened in one of the updates either with windows or nvidia. Anywho....i followed a tutorial which helped with the setup. from gaming pc to recording/streaming pc. I had to tinker with it a little but was able to get sound through and recorded a test file and a gamplay file normally. but upon rebooting the next day the elgato records two files a video and audio file now labeled live commentary. and it's only when i use voicemeeter. It does not do it when recording from console. Has anyone else had this happen. I've just settled for synching the audio manually cause i'm finally able to capture from pc but sheeeesh. Any suggestions to what I have done wrong will be greatly appreciated. Oh and forgot to mention that all audio is coming through mic volume on the elgato 4k capture utility.
