Difference between VB Audio cable A-B and C-D?

Hello,
I would like to know, whether there is any difference in audio cable A-B and cable C-D?
In our setup, we have 4 audio channels coming in from the same location to the same Windows machine, the audio is then processed in a Docker container with Pulse Audio. We have been noticing choppy audio quality on cable C and D - never A and B. Obviously we are looking into other things (sorry for the sloppy explanation, I am new to audio stuff) so far we have tried reinstalling VB audio cable C and D (not sure exactly how, it was done by onsite support, I do remote support), updated network drivers, which seemed to have solved the issue temporarily, but it keeps happening and always with cable C and D. Wondering if there is any difference, their settings seem to be the same.
Any insight would be appreciated.
Thank you!
