Re: Equalizer help

I don't use the VM EQs but, I am familiar with how they work on a hardware mixing console. Normally, this would be the 'Q' of the filter. I notice that has no effect other than for the peak and notch filters for VM.

Re: Voicemeeter changing settings on computer startup

I think perhaps I know why it didn't seem to be working at first - I was using VM x64 when booting, but when restarting, I was using the unaltered shortcut, which loaded the x86 version. Is it possible that the auto-saved settings differ between x64 and x86? I cannot replicate this fault now, but I'...

Re: Voicemeeter Banana idle cpu usage ryzen

Ahh yes, when I looked for that I found a bunch of posts on the AMD subreddit (told you that was the place to go ;) ) eg: https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/cbls9g/the_final_word_on_idle_voltages_for_3rd_gen_ryzen/ https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/6nsaj2/any_disadvantages_when_lowering_minim...

Re: Sound Blaster Z ASIO Driver Suddenly Stopped Working

The timestamp on these images says they are but 30 seconds apart, but the images show different configurations. Image 1: No input (but input buffer size, bitrate and sample rate and shared mode are set... that's strange) Only 1 output (ASIO device) Image 2: 1 Input (virtual cable... Do you need 4 vi...

Re: Voicemeeter Banana idle cpu usage ryzen

I almost linked you to that utility :) I decided against it since telling people, "hey download this mysterious software and run it as admin", is generally bad advice, which one should never give, or take lol... But I'm glad it's helping you. I use a couple of that guy's tools and I'm pret...

Re: Connecting to internet radio station

Don't worry mate I don't use notifications, just manually check the pages, so I guess I need to return the apology for being delayed ;) Well there are two ways to think about this. On the one hand, you could try to take the audio and feed it to two applications, one to encode it for each streaming s...

Re: Voicemeeter does not work well with Realtek card/drivers causing system audio feedback as mic input

You need to calm down. I was just curious about where the driver came from, that's all. The 'licensing' I referred to was just all the fancy EQ's and surround stuff, which costs the vendor more to get from realtek, because realtek have to pay dolby etc. Perhaps English is not your first language and...

Re: Voicemeeter Banana idle cpu usage ryzen

Excellent work! ... So essentially what you did was try the power saver profile, and since it worked but wasn't quite there, compared with the balanced one, and then taken it a step further down? So you've made a 'super-power-saver' profile :) Clever method! Does it now park all but one core when it...

Re: Calculating the smallest possible Buffer Sizes?

Short version: Guesswork/experimentation is the only way Minimum latency/buffer size is dependent greatly on a lot of parameters. From driver performance, general system performance to service the drivers, load on your CPU at any given time, memory throughput, all kinds of things play into this.... ...

Re: Voicemeeter does not work well with Realtek card/drivers causing system audio feedback as mic input

Thanks for that. Sadly I won't be able to use it since it's a modded driver. It's so stupid that we get gimped drivers just because of licensing :( Anyway, I've seen people talk about it but never seen a link to it, so it's nice to see.
