Re: Small KS buffers not possible anymore on W10 2004

Out of curiosity, what device offers KS drivers? And why KS rather than ASIO? Surely the ASIO buffers could be just as small? Not trying to argue, just always hunting for lower latency and it seems you have some cool toys for the job :) Regarding 2004 though: I hear that the latest build is marked f...

Re: Issues with ergonomics

I agree about the title being difficult to grab and move without opening the about box. Fortunately since Potato is wider, there's a big space, but on banana it was super annoying. I don't like the idea of a fixed title bar though, since that introduces a new ergonomics problem - wasted space. Inste...

Re: Severe Distortion After Running Banana for Minutes to Hours

What happens when you use now a WDM buffer size of 1024 or 768? Even if you do not want to use that buffer regularly, because it adds too much latency (delay), testing 1024 and 768 may help to identify the problem! That's good advice. Likewise, try MME instead of WDM mode, and also (separately) try...

Re: Severe Distortion After Running Banana for Minutes to Hours

The 1056bit buffer is a hint. Something is wrong with the way the driver is working.

Re: Voiicemeeter Macros not working when playing some games

Resolved the issue.... The long term solution.... fixed it for me. This is not a resolution, solution or fix, but a workaround . You still have the problem, you are just hiding it. Knowing that it works when running as administrator is a good step in troubleshooting, but it is not the end of troubl...

Re: Multiple Instances

if firefox is present twice after a restart audio engine, it means it's alaso present twice in Windows Volume Mixer... please ask to Microsoft. Yes, as I mentioned earlier, we can simply use sndvol32.exe to show that this is not a VM bug, it is a windows bug. Or, strictly, it is a "feature" since i...

Re: Multiple Instances

A behaviour note that may be of assistance in working around this Windows flaw: If I start my browser, even if it is not using audio at all, say I have a tab opened with a PNG file in it, then I will see the browser in the windows default audio device (VAIO) list in VM. It is only once I begin to ac...

Unfortunately not. I still see firefox there twice - once in the default (VAIO) and once in the redirected device (VAIO3) which is actually playing the audio.

Re: Multiple Instances

....and more simple evidence: Just use sndvol.exe. You will see that your application is still using the default audio device, even though you have told the settings app to use a different device.
