Re: A Better Way To Search The Forum

I'm using duckduckgo for this, too. It occurs to me, it may be helpful to embed that search on this site. There's a page here for automatically generating a search box to do this: https://duckduckgo.com/search_box I took the dimensions from this site and made an example. This generated a search box ...

Re: MIDI Toggle of Buttons Broken?

It will be nice to have those features, but remember - they won't solve your problem. Your problem isn't a lack of features in Voicemeeter, it is the non-standard controller you're using: In Midi Mixer I have a toggle button. When I activate the toggle button it sends a Control Change (CC) event for...

Re: 5.1 never ending story

(example with DTS): Windows DTS pass-through -> Receiver (converts DTS to PCM and sends that to the internal amp) With Voicemeeter: Windows converts DTS to PCM -> Voicemeeter -> Receiver (directly to the internal amp) Basically with Voicemeeter, your receiver is just an multi channel amp and Window...

Re: 5.1 never ending story

Hmm, in order to avoid confusion in future, I must say.... these issues are almost entirely unrelated.... You are right. You had a different problem preventing you from getting 5.1. My point was if someone is searching for an answer to passing 5.1 through VM, they may have your problem, my problem ...

Re: 5.1 never ending story

I'm half-way through typing this post and I feel the need to apologise for my lengthy posts on this subject. I'm just trying not to skip any details. I hope it's helpful.... I'll give you the TL;DR here though: I don't think that all-channel stereo is what you're after. ...anyway, back to the surrou...

Re: Feature request: Focus macro buttons on second instance launch.

Great minds think alike ;) That was one of my first attempts, but it doesn't work. When it is minimised to the systray and you click the pin on the taskbar it works as it does with any other shortcut, which is to say, nothing happens, because the existing instance is already running and invisible an...

Re: MIDI Toggle of Buttons Broken?

To answer your question directly: If you were using midi for a button on VoiceMeeter, would you expect it to process the value zero when you released your momentary button or would that cause VoiceMeeter to behave in a manner contrary to how you're used to midi devices working. I guess ultimately, b...

Re: MIDI Toggle of Buttons Broken?

Yep, most of them work that way (as a mute toggle, rather than hold-to-mute). Some devices will often support either a toggle like this, or a hold-to-mute (common in broadcast situations where someone might say a naughty word and you need to silence things briefly), or a hold-to talk (common for com...

Re: 5.1 never ending story

I wouldn't use the Stereo Repeat function here. I would just use normal mode. Stereo audio will play in stereo, surround will play in surround.

The manual https://vb-audio.com/Voicemeeter/Voicem ... Manual.pdf on page 20-22 has all the info you need about which mode does what.

Re: MIDI Toggle of Buttons Broken?

My experience with hardware is that the switches are almost always momentary in hardware, and send a value reflecting their physical state (ie 7f when pressed, 0 at release, messages being sent on edge transition for interrupt-driven pins, or whenever the pin state is polled and has changed. I can r...
