The Virtual Audio Mixer discussions and support...

I have been using VM for some time now and only recently have I had an issue with it. Ever since the 1809 update, I have had a few issues. I by no means know everything about this program, so I may need some help if you're looking for some info I am not providing here. So I originally had the VM VAIO set as my default device and the VM AUX VAIO set as my default communications device. As you may know, this lets me separate my communications software like Discord, Skype, etc. onto one channel and the rest of my PC audio was controlled by the other. I also have a Blue Snowball Mic (stream), my SteelSeries Arctis 7 headset mic, and a Line In, for inputs. I have a Yamaha receiver and the SteelSeries Arctis 7's for hardware outputs. Everything was working perfectly and then after the 1809 update, everything started acting up. This isn't just on my computer of course. This is on a few other computers (friends) as well. The Steelseries headset mic was real bad with muffled (coffee can) type sound using MME and static type robtic sound when using WDM. I normally use the WDM for all inputs. I found a fix of sorts for the mics by flipping the VAIO from the default device, to the default communication device, and the AUX VAIO from the default communication device to the default device, it fixed the mic issues I was having. I don't know why this is. I cannot for the life of me figure it out. All was well (so I though) until I began streaming. Using OBS, I have the output of VM going into the Mic/Input for OBS and have had it this way for a long time without any issues. When I started the stream, everyone in the channel said the audio, including the game and myself, all sounded muffled and bad. I have not found a fix for this outside of using OBS's mixer for everything and I would really like to get back to JUST using VM again. I love the program and have became a snob of sorts because its all I ever use. Any and all help would be grateful. Im sure there are some things I haven't tried, so please let me know if this is fixable or not. Thanks in advance for any and all help.
I forgot to mention I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the software as well. I do not know if I got everything off of there after uninstalling due to when I reinstalled, the settings were all the same. I don't know if there is something there I did wrong, or something else I need to do to remove EVERYTHING

1809 is a Microsoft Windows 10 "update", so it would make sense to ask them (Microsoft) what they have done.

I have looked at the various sound setting and everything appears to be OK with the status saying this device is working correctly with most recent driver installed. I have tried uninstalling (restarting PC) and then re installing (again restarting PC) but again no sound when |I select VB Cable.
Anyone else have this issue after a Win 10 update? and if so, the solution to fix the problem.
……………… Fix …………………
It appears each time there is a (major) WIN 10 'update' it knocks out the audio settings on VB Cable. By going into the sound options on WIN 10 and checking each setting eventually I managed to correct the problem and now have VB cable back up and working again.
