Hey guys!
I'm hoping to get some help with this - I've been struggling to make things work.
I'm trying to get this to work for a bit, and I'm at a loss.
I'm trying to setup Voicemeeter Banana on a virtual machine, but not just any virtual machine, the VM is located at a datacenter, and not locally.
What I'm trying to do, since I don't have usb/mic passthrough, I'm trying to use Discord as a virtual mic, if you will (discord to discord connection).
I want Desktop on one channel, Discord on another, Spotify on another (using Equalify Pro), and I want the output going to OBS.
Desktop audio without using voicemeeter is Microsoft Virtual Audio Device (Simple) WDM.
In Voicemeeter Banana, I'm stuck with what I should put my hardware output/input as.
I have:
Discord set to VB-Cable Output A
Spotify set to VB-Cable Output B
Desktop set to Voicemeeter VAIO
OBS set to Voicemeeter AUX
Am I at a loss on using Voicemeeter Banana on this VM, or can it be done?
Suggestions?
Thanks in advance!
Setting up on a Virtual Machine?

Re: Setting up on a Virtual Machine?
if i understand well, you have 3 sources (so you need 3 voicemeeter input) and 2 outputs (to be sent to applications).
So this can be done with Voicemeeter Banana and a single Virtual Cable.
Does the picture below resumes well what you want to do ?

Re: Setting up on a Virtual Machine?
Yes, and no... not sure actually. lol
I don't have a hardware input, would I put this as the Microsoft Virtual Device WDM then, for put hardware in/output?
Discord would only be used to act as a mic, from a physical location, into the virtual machine. Discord account #1 from the physical location, calling into discord account #2 on the virtual machine. But I want it on a separate channel so I can control it via voicemeeter banana, and obs. So only the audio from account #1 would be coming through, account #2 is basically a speaker, etc.
Only B1 would be needed to go into OBS, I think - as desktop and discord's virtual mic would be going to obs.
Or am I missing something ?

Re: Setting up on a Virtual Machine?
My settings - spotify set to AUX
With this setting, unfortunately, I only am able to hear my mic and not spotify or desktop audio, when I test via in a recording.

Did you level up the slider gain , related to virtual input ?Bliss wrote:Any suggestions available? Or I'm I a bit stuck?

On your screenshot, Spotify strip gain is set to -32 dB, this can be enough to hear nothing in some circumstances...
Otherwise , what did you set as your default playback device ? (in Windows Control Panel / Sound options...)
