Can't play through onboard speakers

Hi - I've just installed Voicemeeter and have succeeded in setting up connections and playing music via outputs A1 & A2 to two separate Bluetooth speakers simultaneously. So far so good. What I can't seem to do is play either output through my onboard speakers. I can see them there in the list (Realtex High Definition Audio) and if I select them Voicemeeter shows them as connected and the level meter shows music playing, but no sound.

Is there something else I need to do or am I trying to do the impossible?

BTW I'm running Windows 10 home.

you may check gain / mute status of your Realtek High Definition Audio device.
then if it does not work with WDM interface, select MME one.
