1 1/2 yr VMBanana user static now

Post by cinnkid »

Hi, I been using VMBanana about yr 1 1/2, and windows update june / oct / changed the cable drivers renamed them etc, reinstalled and for the most part was ok, except at time static when starting a new encoder session for online live dj, which a resync in banana quickly solved. Jan 2019 win update again complete wrecked VMB + cables and A input came out on B output and other issues. Reinstalled windows 10, plus dj software and VMB, finally mostly solved. I froze win update, something again changed settings in VMB, and sound quality was corrupt.

I tried to de-install VMB but it didn't work this time (never failed before), I had to manually delete all VMB files - reboot
de-installed cables reboot after each.
reinstall cables in Admin mode - reboot after each
reinstall VMB in Admin - reboot.

Now I am getting static repeatedly just simply listening to youtube, requiring sync.
I had changed the properties on the cables to 16 bit 44100 hz in sound playback and record, to reduce size of sound packets to reduce lag when DJ in a online laggy club. Before the june/oct 2018 win updates I never changed.

Question:
What do I need to do to completely get rid of this static issue, I have reinstalled win 10 multiple time, I am using cables & A+B, using the Jan 2019 version of VMB.

every time i start a new app / program seems static happens if DJing or listening to youtube. I can't DJ hitting resync every song

Something is not right, and I am clueless where to try next to fix.

you may check the topic about audio problem after WIN10 update:

and if static are coming back, you may follow recommendations on this topic:
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=451

if the problem remains, you may post a screenshot of Voicemeeter and its system settings dialog box to let us see if we detect a possible problem in your voicemeeter configuration...
