I am using Virtualmeeter Potato with my DAW application. I am having some trouble mapping the VASIO output devices in my DAW. I will try to describe my setup and issue as accurately as I can. I apologize for the necessarily long post.
The problem:
Only the first two returns from the DAW, (VM-VAIO1, and VM-VAIO2), are going to the selected composite output busses.
My DAW setup:
Host: Windows 10, v 1909, i9-9900k, 16GB, 2xSSDs
DAW: Presonus Studio One Pro, v4.6.1
Iface: Presonus Quantum 2 (thunderbolt 2)
The Quantum 2 is set to 24/44.1 with a 64 byte buffer
I have an ADAT preamp connected to the first pair of ADAT I/O busses on the Q2, no s/mux
Windows Sound Output device: VoiceMeeter VAIO3
Windows Sound Input device : VoiceMeeter VAIO3
Quantum 2 IO mapping in Windows, (as far as I can tell):
Inputs:
1,2: phys analog inputs 1&2
3,4: phys analog inputs 3&4
5,6: spdif inputs
7,8: ADAT inputs 1&2 (same phys inputs as SPDIF)
...
13,14: ADAT inputs 7&8
Outputs:
1,2: phys analog outputs 1&2
3,4: phys analog outputs 3&4
5,6: headphone outputs
7,8: spdif outputs
9,10: ADAT outputs 1&2 (same phys outputs as SPDIF)
...
15,16: ADATA outputs 7&8
I do not use the SPDIF interfaces.
Voicemeeter configuration:
Input 1: ASIO 1,2
Input 2: ASIO 7,8
Input 3: ASIO 9,10
Input 4: ASIO 11,12
Input 5: ASIO 13,14
A1: Quantum ASIO driver; composite mode
A4: 1,2,9,10,11,12,13,14; composite mode
B1: Composite mode
PATCH Composite: (Pre): Bus ch1, Bus ch2, IN#1 Left, IN#2 Left, IN#3 Left, IN#4 Left, IN#5 Left, IN#5 Right
DAW Configuration:
Audio Device: Voicemeeter Virtual
Inputs : VM-VAIO1, ..., VM-VAIO8
Outputs : VM-VAIO1, ..., VM-VAIO8
What I expect: the outputs from the DAW to appear on the selected output buss thusly:
A1: ASIO outputs 1-8 on Quantum 2
A4: ASIO outputs 1,2,9,10,11,12,13,14 on Quantum 2
B1: As defined by 'PATCH Comosite' settings
What I get:
Only the first two returns from the DAW, (VM-VAIO1, and VM-VAIO2), are going to the selected composite output busses. When these devices are selected, the first two meters of the selected outputs busses become active. I see the output on my Quantum 2 via the software device controller metering. If I select any other output devices for the main out from the DAW, nothing appears on the selected output busses in Voicemeeter. By that I mean, the is no metering on the output busses to indicate inputs from 'Voicemeeter VAIO' are being received. There is no corresponding output on the Quantum software controller either.
Your help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Mapping VASIO devices in my DAW
[SOLVED]:
Short version: A1 and A4 should be set to normal mode. That will pass all inputs from VAIO buss to the output busses unchanged.
Long answer: I misunderstood Composite mode. I thought the 'PATCH Composite' settings defined where the audio from the output bus went to. It is actually where the audio to the output buss comes from. So, in my case, only buss B1 should be sent to composite since that is the input tracks sent to my DAW.

Re: Mapping VASIO devices in my DAW
Damn, you were too fast or I was too lazy (watching a movie).
I had just finished this:
"Too much PATCH COMPOSITE
I had some problems to rebuild your hardware configuration on my side, but theoretically these little tweaks will do the trick:
A1: Quantum ASIO driver; normal mode
A4: 1,2,9,10,11,12,13,14; normal mode
B1: Composite mode"
Then I read your "SOLVED"!
I was a hero (in my dreams), but now I feel like a loser.
