Stereo input - how to allow for soft & loud volume without equaling them out?

Post by britendale »

I am desperate for a quick answer for our Church live stream (and I am not super techie so please excuse if my lingo is off)...

With Voicemeeter Banana -
On the stereo input, how do we allow for soft and loud volume? Versus having it made equal? If someone is talking it drowns out the piano and if the piano is playing it drowns out the person talking. You can see examples on our website at http://azgpcmedia.org/gpc-live-on-facebook/

If you will look at one of our videos you will see that the music kind of comes and goes in volume. I am not a super tech savvy person just a volunteer trying to help out our church in this very trying time.

Thank you in advance for your help!

i'm not sure to understand your question.

you have 2 sources : one piano and one voice and you want to adjust the gain volum for each ?

yes - we have 1 microphone for the piano and 1 microphone for the pulpit where people speak/sing. it's like the 2 inputs are in competition with each other. we have tried many gain settings for each to no avail.
