Hi all,
I'm new here and I just saw a demo of Voicemeeter and I hope this can solve the problem I'm facing.
On my PC I have SoundBlaster Z as a dedicated soundcard, that is the DAC.
I use 2 of its outputs:
1 - Speakers.
2 - Headphones.
And 1 input:
Microphone.
The PC header (front panel) is internally connected to my SoundBlaster Z DAC and I use the front panel microphone input as well. This is a gaming mic.
The problem I'm facing is that Windows doesn't "see" that I have 2 outputs. It doesn't see that I use headphones and speakers. Windows treats them as one output called (Speakers "2- Sound Blaster Z") in the Sound control panel, under Playback.
This creates a problem if I want to split sound from a music app to my headphones and another app to my speakers.
Can Voicemeeter assist with solving this problem and help to route audio to different outputs, given that Windows only "sees" one output?
How to split audio to headphones and speakers?
Re: How to split audio to headphones and speakers?
Looks like a feature of the card is
Do you have onboard audio on your mobo? If yes you might be able to use that.
Which in this case is a problem, would mean there's only one output and where it goes can only be controlled by the card's app...Never unplug your headphones again
With the Sound Blaster Z-series Control Panel, just toggle between your headphone and speaker system with a flip of a switch.

Re: How to split audio to headphones and speakers?
my onboard realtek DAC is not of a good quality like the soundblaster Z.
Thanks for the help!

Re: How to split audio to headphones and speakers?
Well lookie what I found here! Apparently someone has made a utility for controlling the SBZ control panel via registry. Check out the link here. You may be able to figure out how to access this utility via VM's Macro.exe?
