I have been trouble shooting this problem for some time now. The sound that i am getting from the hdmi capture card is normally okay. By "normally" i mean, if i go and use windows builtin "listen to this device" feature and listen it through "default" or "VB-cable" device, the sound has no problem.
It only occurs if bring it to VM as a "hardware input". I have set it to (MME) 1024 samplerate but it only gets lessened by increasing to 2048 and even then there is crackling occuring. here a sample.https://youtu.be/ZPPoiXSoYKg
My Current work around is use" listen to this device" (in windows "sound control panel") and direct it to either default or a virtual cable.
Normally i would continue on but i also suspicious that the cause of the sound problem is also the cause of other problems that i get in OBS.
What are any other steps to take and check:
I've already did these:
Set all sound devices to 16bit 48khz all across, except the wireless headphone whose mic can only work in 16bit 16khz and disabling it does not fix anything.
