Output for Voicemeeter under virtual machine

Hello Vincent,
I am using Voicemeeter with VBAN to connect a server with a PC. Voicemeeter installed on both machines.
I would like to send the microphone from the PC to the server and from the server the combined audio back to the PC.
If I install Voicemeeter on the server, I don't have and I don't need any audio output device there! My output device in this case is VBAN->PC.
But I don't see any possibility the set VBAN as an output device an A1! There is nothing, but Voicemeeter wants an output device.

What should I do in this case?

yes you must connect voicemeeter output A1 to an audio playback device.
if you have no audio device, you may install the VB-CABLE for example.

Then VBAN will work (nothing work if there is no device connected to output A1).

the question is good. All the audio engine is sync to Output A1 device...
but we could think to start the audio engine without audio output device connected... will think about...

it is almost 2 years ago and the new versions are using new drivers.
I have looked, but I could not find any answer regardig to need a output device.
A short answer would helpful.

Voicemeeter now (since 2024 version) provide an internal clock (if no device selected as output A1) to run without output audio interface.
so it should fit your need.
