I have installed Voicemeeter Banana.
Windows 11 laptop. Chrome browser. I also have Firefox. Laptop connected to a TV via HDMI.
So the question is can I use Voicemeeter Banana to select:
that Chrome sound goes to the laptop speakers/headphone.
and at the same time select that Firefox sound goes to a TV via HDMI.
Can someone who actually uses Voicemeeter Banana say if this is possible and if so how to setup Voicemeeter Banana to do it?
Someone who uses Voicemeeter says it can be done and sent me some screenshots on how to set everything up.
In my case Chrome and Firefox. I am sure I have everything setup as per the suggested setup. However, I can only get sound coming from 1 sound output at a time.
So for example, Chrome to laptop headphones and Firefox to HDMI setup (Windows volume mixer) with the suggested settings I was given by them.
In Voicemeeter – A1 to laptop headphones. A2 to Beyond TV.
I set everything up as per their suggestions with the following outcome:
In Voicemeeter – A1 to laptop headphones. A2 to Beyond TV.
If I use Chrome video goes to laptop headphones – all good. But then when I use Firefox to play something else the sound also goes to laptop headphones and not to HDMI Beyond TV device So both sounds come from laptop headphones at the same time.
I have tested various times and combos and get the same result. For example, if I setup that Chrome goes to HDMI Beyond TV and Firefox to laptop headphones and start Chrome then Firefox then both sounds come out of TV sound at the same time.
Is there another step/s that I need to setup or maybe what I want to do is not possible?
Windows 11 laptop sound 1 to A1 (laptop speakers/headphones) , sound 2 to A2 (TV HDMI)

yes, if you playback chrome in a Virtual Voicemeeter input and Firefox in another one.
then you will be able to route it in BUS A1 or A2 or both for example.
the keys is to separate your sources.

Thank you Vincent. As a totally new user to Voicemeeter it is a challenge. Did lots of research for help videos etc prior.
Happy to report that with your extra step I actually managed to get it working.
A huge thank you for getting it over the line.
