Just discovered VP-Audio's Voicemeeter - amazing app with a challenging learning curve for my 80 year old brain, which is deeply steeped in 20-ought's digital audio.
I'm hoping to route audio playback from an online recorded source to the mic input with the objective of converting speech from recording to text. Using Win 10 Pro on moderate to high end laptop.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks.

set Voicemeeter input as your default playback device.
set Voicemeeter out B1 as your default recording device.
then all PC Sound will go into Voicemeeter and could be routed to BUS B1 that could be captured by any application like google translate for example.
