ZOOM not receiving audio from DAW or audio player

Post by Warner »

Hi,

Problem:
ZOOM is not receiving audio from my DAW (Studio One) or audio player(Resonic) when using Voicemeeter standard. It does receive audio from Firefox/YouTube and from my mic on channel 1. In the Windows mixer settings I see the Voicemeeter volume greyed out but in an online tutorial on Voicemeeter I saw that it was enabled.

Context:
I'm a musician from the Netherlands collaborating with someone in Canada. We use ZOOM to meet and prior to using Voicemeeter I was able to share the sound of my audioplayer resonic) and my mic but NOT the audio of my DAW. So I have tried Voicemeeter but after hours of experimenting, reading the manual and forum I still can't get i working.

Settings:
Attached are screenshots of some of my settings (only 3 attachments were allowed, I have more if needed). In short: I set all apps to Windows default audio and my DAW to Voicemeeter input

I appreciate any help, many thanks in advance!

Warner

Update: I've given up on Voicemeeter, it's too complicated after the 2025 update with all the extra options. I chose the Voicemeeter Standard in the hope of as little options as possible to have a simple setup. I don't understand why the standard version has all the extra options that you can't use in Standard. Choosing the right input and output was really confusing. And even more confusing when I only can get my mic and audio player audio into ZOOM but not my DAW audio... (yes, I chose Voicemeeter as virtual hardware output in my DAW)

Yesterday I tried the Muse app and it worked right away. If I saw correctly, the Muse app uses a VB-cable which is inserted as a plugin in my DAW music software and routes the audio to the app. The app is a all-in-one solution combining a "ZOOM" and music collaboration.
