Matrix and Matrix Coconut licenses are valid for a single PC and have been issued since October 2025 via a new activation code called "H-Code."
Challenge code, generated by the application, is unique to each computer. Response code is given by our server after purchase.
The "H-Code" is more secure and stable, and now relies on license authentication by our server (on ACTIVATE only).
Challenge code is pending on your CPU / Motherboard (and is now independent of Windows updates).
WARNING 1: Reinstalling Windows requires backing up your footprint to retrieve your challenge code (and your activated license). So remember to store your footprint before reinstalling Windows!
WARNING 2: The license is assigned by the PC user. If you want to activate the same license for another user on the same PC, you will also need to use your footprint (which can only be registered from an activated license on the same computer).
So, think to use your footprint to get back the same challenge code for all users or computer name change.
In case of Challenge Code change or for a second PC, each license is offering a REGEN option to generate a second Response code.
Go to the "My Licenses" page of your online store account and click "REGEN" to enter your new challenge code and obtain a new response code.

This licensing model has been designed as an alternative to SAAS model, simpler and cheaper for everyone, it is pending on PC hardware / Installation process only. Instead of obliging you to stay connected to internet to pay every month, our activation code stays valid until you decide to change your PC. And with our donationware model, you can select the smallest price to renew your license if required.
To ACTIVATE your license, after getting and entering your response code, you must click on ACTIVATE button to activate your license. With "H-Code", this process is now done by internet. The application is asking a license certificate to our server, it store it on your computer and that's it, your license is activated and you will not need internet anymore.
