i don't know if possibly, the system can provide different appdata\roaming directory for x32 and x64 application... good question
Ahh I see how it works now, settings are autosaved to/autoloaded from, the roaming appdir, as XML just like the normal settings saves. The file is updated when the app closes. That will help if a problem like this comes up in future.
I have seen other apps provide different paths to appdata depending on bitness (well technically, x64 went to appdata and x86 went somewhere else entirely)
