Channel routing with DAW (FL Studio 12)

Hello all,

I am trying to record guitar through a Focusrite Solo Gen3 into FL Studio 12, and I am completely lost with my channel routing. I can get sound to appear on the FL Mixer, but I can't hear anything. My guitar is going into Hardware Input 4, which is routed to B1 only. I do not want to monitor my clean signal, so I don't have it routed to any hardware outs.

In Fl Studio, I have several differen ASIO options, of which I am not sure which to choose. There are two different I/O schemes that it gives me when I select different ones. When I select Voicemeeter Virtual ASIO, they follow the scheme VM-VAIO 1

And when I select Voicemeeter Insert Virtual ASIO I am given the scheme In#1 Left - In#1 Right ...etc.

I just want to know how to match my Voicemeeter Hardware Inputs to these I/O channels in FL studio, and how to route this to my main desktop audio, which I have sent through Cable A, Hardware Input 2.

If you route your Hardware Input to B1, then you have to use Voicemeeter Virtual ASIO driver in your DAW and activate VM-VAIO 1 / VM-VAIO 2 (stereo) there!

Have you read the manual (the chapter about Voicemeeter Virtual ASIO driver)?

If you select Voicemeeter Virtual ASIO driver in your DAW then the output of your DAW goes to Virtual Input 1 (aka Voicemeeter VAIO).
So, you have to disable B1 for that first Virtual Input to avoid audio feedback!
But you activate A1 for that Virtual Input!
