PATCH ASIO Input strips HELP!
PATCH ASIO Input strips HELP!
All three of my Path ASIO Input strips (in system settings) only allow me to enter a 1 or a 2. How to I get 3,4,5 etc? Is this related to my DAW (Mixcraft) only picking up Input strip 1 from Voicemeeter? Also I am using ASIO4all. It is my A1 output. In Mixcraft, I have Voicemeeter Virtual Asio selected as the sound device. Is that right? If I select ASIO4all as the device, I do not have the VM-VIAO as track inputs anymore. This seems confusing.
Re: PATCH ASIO Input strips HELP!
PATCH ASIO input strips is not what you need!
That only makes sense if you have an ASIO device (interface) with multiple inputs selected as A1 main hardware ouput device.
But not if you use a standard WDM device like Realtek as A1.
You have to use PATCH COMPOSITE to combine your additional USB microphones, etc. hardware inputs or virtual inputs in VAIO ASIO for your DAW input/mixer.
Not PATCH ASIO Input!

Re: PATCH ASIO Input strips HELP!
Do not use ASIO4all with Voicemeeter
Don't ge me wrong, ASIO4all is fine if you use it without Voicemeeter.
But using both at the same time is not recommended.
It is an unnecessary extra audio layer.
If you disable your additional (multiple!) HW input devices in Voicemeeter and activate them correctly inside ASIO4all, it would be possible to use PATCH ASIO with 1,2,3,4......
But it does not make sense.
It is better to not use ASIO4all!
Enable the extra HW input devices in the HW strips and then configure PATCH COMPOSITE!
That is the way for you to go.
PATCH ASIO Inputs to strips is only useful if you have a real (professional) hardware ASIO interface (with multiple inputs), but not for a virtual like ASIO4all, because Voicemeeter has its own advanced virtual ASIO drivers with multiple I/O.
