Hello, new user here.
I recently started using VM Banana while streaming on Twitch and I noticed that the sound is kinda weird. I've added 2 clips as an example, I hope someone can shed some light on this problem.

Re: Weird lisp/tin can sound
Sounds like phasing.
What Bus output channel configuration do you use?
Please, show me a screenshot of your Voicemeeter settings!
Somehow the audio signal on the channels is doubled.
Something of your settings sends the signal two times (with minimal delay).
Maybe only a portion of a millisecond!
And that leads to this phasing effect.
There is definetly something wrong with your audio routing (one activation of an extra audio routing option too much).
Deactivate one option after the other step by step to identify the source of doubled routing in your chain!
This phasing happens for example also if you press a key of a hardware synthesizer when it is connected to a DAW and if the DAW sends the MIDI data that it is receiving on the MIDI input to the MIDI output (MIDI thru) back to the MIDI input of the synthesizer.
Then the tonegenerator of the synthesizer is triggered by the pressed key plus the incoming MIDI data and every note you play is doubled and you here the same odd phasing effect.
To avoid this every synthesizer or keyboard has an option that is called 'Local Off'.
'Local Off' means that the tonegenerator ignores any pressed key and only plays notes by external MIDI data.

Ok, sorry.PoJ wrote:Thanks for your reply, I posted my settings in the Imgur link in the first post.
Why do use Stereo Repeat for all busses?
Do you really need this?
That is probably the root of the phasing.
What happens if you use Normal or Mix A or Mix B for the busses?

Thanks once again!

I dunno man, I watched some YT clips on how to install VM and they did it that way. I'm a total noob with this audio stuff.RobBoss wrote:B2 goes to Twitch?

Other persons that have access to your computer?
Someone playing games with you by changing your Voicemeeter settings, while you are in the kitchen?
Seriously, I hope we can close this case here.
Sorry, please it is not my intention to be rude, but your answer was a little bit funny.
Best Regards!
