Cassette Recorder, stops recording

Can someone please tell me what to check? It used to work, now it stopped.

if you have a problem you may describe it more precisely, explain the context, possibly attach screenshot (recorder option dialog box), and give the workfow.

Sorry for the late reply , oddly enough the default path that it was recording to was no longer working and when I changed it. It started working again.

Sometimes my Voicemeeter Banana Tape recorder counter stops. The animation still shows the cassett gears turning and it is still red like it is recording, but when you stop and eject, the file is only one second longer than the recording time shown when it stopped counting.

I'm recording to the same dedicated recording & asset drive for two years, a 4TB Seagate Hybrid Drive { 3726GB Seagate ST4000DX001-1CE168 (SATA ) }

I've been using VM Banana for about three years. This started in the last two months and it does not always happen.
The live audio has not had any issues.
