Voicemeeter not launching after fresh install

I tried installing Voicemeeter and Voicemeeter Banana and both won't launch after installing them.
Yes I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, close to 10 times now. I can't delete VoicemeeterDefault.xml because the file doesn't exist. If anyone can help that would be awesome since apparently no one on the internet has had this specific problem.

Edit: I figured it out, I ran the windows troubleshooter and it ran Voicemeeter in Windows 8 compatibility mode and now the program runs

Glad you got it working Jethro. The other suggestion I would have made was to make sure you reboot right after install to properly finish the installation, which wasn't indicated in your first post. And BTW, Voicemeeter also requires a reboot to uninstall also.
