Two Issues (2nd try)

Two weeks ago I asked about two issues. Not a single reply! Surely at least Vincent Burel or his team could reply.
1. Are the faders using peak or average metering?
2. I need to output in CBR. Is there a control to change from VBR which is usually the default, to CBR?

Our metering is displaying peak level.
CBR / VBR is an option for mp3 right? i think it's fixed to CBR.

Potato just outputs audio, not compressed as far as I can see, obviously at a fixed rate, or else things would go haywire. Wouldn't you use some mastering program to create compressed MP3? Not clear exactly what your use case is.

I suppose if you want more advanced metering options you could use any one of a number of VST metering plugins by using Cantabile.

[update:] In fact I just tried this with VUMT Deluxe from Klanghelm with Cantabile Lite and it works great. VUMT has a particularly fine RMS metering mode.
