How to best sync the hardware INPUTS into the composite Bus for 6 track recording

HI there,
Is there any way to better sync up the hardware inputs for the composite bus? I am finding that the 6 tracks are out of sync - but not just out of sync a steady amount, but an amount that keeps shifting back and forth. I am trying to use VoiceMeeter to make scientific measurements of 6 streams of audio data from 3 identical USB sound cards, but I can't figure out how to sync them.
I know that this is likely a limitation as this is what high-end audio cards with ASIO inputs do... but I've even tried to play a square wave across all inputs at the same time and try to use this to sync up... it's just it's back out of sync again later on. I am probably talking about a difference of about 10 milliseconds (now that I say it, it actually sounds like very little, but in voice research it can be a lot...)
Any ideas?!
