Hello,

I am getting some ticks when in Voicemeeter and nothing is playing but only at a certain threshold of volume level between, -20 & -30 on A1.

Now if it is below -30 it is usually too low but above -20 it is ok but a bit loud. I was wondering why this is happening but only between that threshold.

When I am above -20 I do not hear ticks when nothing is playing it is distracting when playing a game. I read the guides about uninstalling and reinstalling the voicemeeter and followed them to the T and I still get the tick sound..

I am on a Fresh install of windows and have also tried the latest drivers for my Sound Blaster Z and the newer version of Voicemeeter. when I install the newer version of Voicemeeter it states I have audio driver issues and to reinstall the drivers??

I am unsure what is going on here but I was able to rectifiy the issue in the past but now it is just there, but the workaround is too keep the A1 volume lever above -20 and there is no tick sound..

My setup is in Voicemeeter is this:





Now I use a VR headset that is A1 USB Headset and my A2 is my Buttkicker on the Soundblaster Z. I have used voicemeeter for some years now so I am pretty sure I have it setup correctly it just seemes lately I been getting these issues maybe a win 10 update or something..

If you need more info on my setup let me know I can give detailed info if needed..

first pre-requisite is to run the latest version... what is your Voicemeeter version ?

I believe I have the latest v2.0.6.1..

I think I found a good trick. I set the priority of audiodg.exe to high and the ticks all dissappeared..

hmmm nope that did not fix it must of been a placebo effect crud!!

OK I am having a bigger issue right now. I went to go play a game and loaded up like I always do and when I started Voicemeeter, A2 my sound blaster device is redded out on the hardware out spot.

I tried unistalling all my sound drivers and voicemeeter but it is still doing this. I am on v2.0.6.1 of the VM, I am unsure but I tried selecting the WDM and MME they both give me a reddout out soundblaster Z in the hardware out.

I run a VR Headset thqat is A1 in the VM, my Buttkicker is the SB Z in A2, I am unsure what is going on now but funny things been happening with this newer version?

Well I thought I knew why it did what it did but was not it, so I reinstalled an older version it seems to be working again.. Not sure what had happened but it seems to be working again..

I will just keep the workaround for the ticks but as for the soundblaster Z device going red IDK..??

on your screenshot, there is no Stream Samplerate and buffer size displayed on the right of HARDWARE OUT (right - top)
this is not expected.

You may keep install latest version anyway. tick on specific threshold can come from your configuration (+12dB on EQ / +12 dB on output BUS can create audio peak, that can be audible in some consistences).

Also crack on PEAK can come from a problem in the audio device , not able to support 0dBfs, example:

not sure why the stream info is not there that wqas he latest ve4rsion, [erhaps a bug.?

I tried lowering the volume on my A2 I was still getting the ticks in A1. I have to keep the volume level at a certain level or I get the ticks??

I am unsure what else to try ass I tried different versions of Voicemeeter and my SB Z Drivers.. I can live with it as it is I just thought there might be somethibng obvious or easy I was missing?
