Hi Guys.
I downloaded VoiceMeeter standard version to have on-line eletric guitar lessons via skype with my teacher.
I use a notebook (Windows 11), an external audio interface (Behringer), a Neural DSP standalone plugin for guitar effects.
Guitar is plugged into the audio interface, which is connected via USB to the notebook.
I also need to play on backing tracks played by YouTube. I use the notebook mic and listen with earphones.
Target: I need my teacher to listen to me playing alone or on a backing track, he should be able to listen both my guitar (including plugin effects) + backing track + my voice. Of course, I need to listen to same from my teacher.
I tried different set ups, but cannot get what I need: sometimes I cannot hear the backing track, sometimes no plugin effects, sometimes huge latency… I guess I do not set correctly the options in Voicemeeter and/or plugin (input/output) and/or Skype… I've watched several tutorials, but still I'm doing something wrong: my fault, for sure.
Can you suggest the best set up for my needs?
I may try Banana or Potato, if I can get what I need more easily, or maybe I’d better use other platforms instead of Skype… I’m 100% open to your suggestions.
Tks a lot!

Re: guitar lessons via Skype: how to set VoiceMeeter
you may surely use Voicemeeter banana to be able to mix your 3 sources (voice + guitar + track... and skype caller) and configure it with Skype , like it has been described in this video tutorial: https://youtu.be/nIpt3jF0Nds (replace zoom by skype).
if using an ASIO device , you may watch this video: https://youtu.be/35N8hkOy8h4
and basically connect everything to Voicemeeter as it was your mixing console.
plug-ins effect can add latency again but can be managed by using the Voicemeeter Virtual ASIO insert process and a VST Host.
well, this is not an easy workflow, so i recommend you to more come on our Discord server to get more help if needed.

I'm working on it.
Can you tell me why I cannot connect my audio interface in VM Banana (pls see stereo input 2, here below)?
Actually doing my previous tests on VM standard that was not an issue at all, but yesterday it simply did not work...

Re: guitar lessons via Skype: how to set VoiceMeeter
Hello,
this is my current configuration.
I can hear everything in my earphones (guitar, plugin, backtrack) but my interlocutore can't hear anything.
Can you help?
Remarks: in plugin, if I select VoiceMeter on output channel, I cannot hear the plugin effects. To hear plugin effects I must select Asio driver.
