Uninstall before update?

Hi there, I'm considering updating to the new 2024 version. Is it still needed to first uninstall everything before installing the new version, or can we now just install the new version on top of the previous one?

Yes, the procedure is still
- Uninstall old version
Reboot
Install new version
Reboot

Thanks for the quick answer!
I was expecting it though
This is disappointing, as I'm afraid to lose my whole configuration.
Therefore I think I'll stay with my current version.

simply save your configuration first (Voicemeeter menu -> save settings).
and check your default playback / recording device after of course, the problem is more in the Windows behavior that can change default device when uninstalling or re-installing audio driver.
