Hi,

When I use VB Audio cable, I noticed that I can't hear the higher frequenties properly. So I did a measurement, and I saw that above 8Khz the higher frequenties gradually lower in amplitude.

See screenshot below: Audio 3 is the original signal, which is a sine sweep from 1hz to 20khz. The output of this channel is VB audio cable, and on Audio 5 channel the input is also VB Audio cable. As you can see, the amplitude lowers at the higher frequency.

I use Mac OS 14.4.1.

See below my VB-Cable Control panel settings: Is there a setting I need to adjust for this, or a bug or something else?

In your case, there is no SRC (sample rate conversion) running in VB-CABLE, so you may get a perfect FLAT response.

but the 200 sample as latency can be not enough to make a continuous stream...

so you may reset it to 4096 or 7168 and remake your measure.

What do you mean with There is no SRC? How can I enable this?

I set the max sample rate to 7168smp and the latency to 6144 smp. But still same result.

I also notice that the waveform is not like the original anymore at higher frequency's

I don't understand so. the problem is surely located or in the player process, or in the capture process (maybe one is not running in 44.1 kHz and is using an SRC for example).

As you can see in the VBCABLE Control Panel, input and output are running in 44.1 kHz like the internal samplerate (44.1 kHz), so the cable is expected to be transparent. So the problem is located outside. Check your applications audio format.
