MIDI device no longer recogniced after wake up from sleep mode (Win11 23H2)

Hi again,

There is a new thing happening, which wasn't a problem some while ago. I mostly put my computer to "sleep mode" when not using.
Since ~3 weeks my connected MIDI device (nanoKONTROL Studio) won't be recognized by VM anymore after wake-up.
Restart Audio Engine does not help. Deselecting and re-selecting the in/out device in MIDI Mapping dialogue does neither.
Almost if another app were using the midi device (but there is no other app running which does).
I have to manually shutdown VM and start it again, then everything works as it should.

Is there a way to lookup which application/connection momentary is using the midi device? Could it be an "old connection from VM before sleep" which could not be reinitialized after wake-up? If so - Whould it be possible to refresh this connection with the "Restart Audio Engine" functionality?

I'm on Win 11 Pro 23H2 v22631.5335 (was on 23H2 before, did just the "normal" updates once in a while) using licensed VoiceMeeter Potato 3.1.1.9 64bit (not updated recently) and as mentioned, there is no other application running using midi.
