[problem] Windows 10 64bit, build 1803
Vincent Reply here
I found the Device Manager inputs as Vincent suggested in his link, and removed, however this fixed the Ghost input in "Windows Sound / playback & Record" but left many files, and hundreds of VB Audio references in Registry.
I had to try reinstalling since no further reply from Vincent without deleting the files or the hundreds of registry links, I had to do a set on Sunday.
Reinstalled in the following order, free Cable, then Cable A & Cable B, then Voicemeeter Banana.
Results:
• Because the old files not removed or the registry items, my original setup was present in Voicemeeter Banana. To be honest, this bothers me, I wanted to attempt a clean install. I would gladly pay a fee for Voicemeeter Banana if the creator would include a true Uninstall app that removes all registry items and ALL files belonging to VMB, and option to remove same with VB audio Cables.
• I was able to setup VMB with RadioDJ, however, there was NO Aux input in VMB.
• I could now Use RadioDJ after resetting the VB inputs in both RDJ & VMB.
• The static problem was NOT as great as previously, however under random load changes static would start drowning out the audio, to remove I reset VMB. By random load I mean, starting up a new browser session, opening another app, Change the stream encoder. Previously the static would start even on some song tracks when I started those playing in RDJ.
• During the 2 hour set, my system completely LOCKED UP once requiring hard reset/boot, and crashed to desktop 6 or 7 times however VMB & RDJ were still running fine. This last problem could be another app that needs updating since Win 10 Update.
HOW DO I GET AUX input back?
Should I un-install Voicemeeter Banana and try new install?
re: Un-install Utility for Voicemeeter Banana & VB audio Cables.
It is very obvious that Win10 updates create problems with Voicemeeter Banana and VB Audio Cables, the need for a separate app that displays the registry items and all the associated files, then cleanly deletes those items when the user clicks "delete". Since I started using VMB and VBaudio Cables in December every Wind 10 update since my original install of cables and VMB wiped out my inputs requiring to change in RDJ and VMB. Further, the recent Win10 again wiped out the inputs, but also created so much static and possibly other problems, and causes system lockups
Again the Question :
Do I reinstall Voicemeeter Banana to get Aux input back?
If i want to do clean re-install of VMB and VB cables how do I delete all the associated files & registry items.
(right now the only option I see to do a true clean install is reinstall Win 10, that would be a royal PIA.
Again Thank YOU Vincent for this great software and all the work you do, and allowing us to use for litteraly no fee.
