Tray icon disappears after Explorer restart (and maybe in other cases)

I noticed it few times already that Voicemeeter and Macro Buttons tray icons disappear.
I have to kill the Voicemeeter and Macro Buttons processes and start them again to get the icons back.
Now I had to restart the Explorer for some unrelated reason and noticed that the icons didn't come back, unlike many other apps I have in tray.
There is definitely an issue with the way you handle tray icons.
