WDM ultra low latency (80 samples) miracle or something is wrong with my ears!?

I use Windows 7 Pro SP1 64 bit.

Virtual ASIO Type: INT32LSB
48 KHz
WDM Input Exclusive Mode: Yes
Engine Mode: Swift

If I use ASIO4all as main output A1 (256 samples, 48 KHz) in Voicemeeter Potato (v3.0.0.5) and Realtek HD Audio as output in ASIO4all, I can use 160 samples for WDM in Voicemeeter settings.
Voicemeeter settings info shows me 80 samples input latency for analog microphone and 80 samples for Korg Kross 2 USB. We are talking about WDM (not ASIO)! In theory 80 samples at 48 KHz would mean approx. 1.66 milliseconds latency.
There are absolutely no crackles or other sonic oddities. Both inputs (microphone and Korg synthesizer) sound crystal clear and are stable for hours.

Could this be true?
WDM stable with 80 samples/1.66 milliseconds latency???

Or is something wrong with my ears?

Additional Info:
As expected WDM Cable Output (VB-Audio Virtual Cable) is not stable with 160 samples (it needs 256 samples) as hardware input.
I have to use it as KS VB-Audio Point with 256 samples. That makes sense.

So how is it possible that the analog microphone and the Korg Kross 2 USB only need 80 samples via WDM input?
:?:

the exclusive input mode can go down to such small buffer size
but the stability in time is not guaranteed . to be validated on 24 or 48h (without crah or BSOD)
