I am running Voicemeeter 1.0.7.3 to be able to simultaneously use digital speakers on USB and a subwoofer on the regular (analog) sound output.

This is working fine and I get all my computer sounds/music through the USB speakers (A1) and subwoofer (A2).

Now, what I would like to do is to control the two sound outputs separately; like have a slider for A1 and a slider for A2 to allow me to balance or change the two outputs separately. (instead of having to use the volume knobs on each device)

Is that possible

yes, but with Voicemeeter Banana (or Potato).

As you can see there is a single BUS (and a single slider) to feed A1 & A2 device in Voicemeeter Standard.

I did see the single BUS/Slider but did not know if I had missed a setting or something that would change that.
I guess not.

Yes, if you have used Voicemeeter (standard) and run Banana for the first time, it could be a little bit overwhelming, if you are not generally familiar with (virtual) mixing consoles (do not have used any DAW).
But I know even some people, that skipped Banana (or I should say they tried to skip it) and went directly from Voicemeeter standard to Potato.

I am somewhat of a techie but have never worked with a DAW (the last board I owned was a TASCAM Model 30 just to give you an idea).

So, your "warning" is probably appropriate...

Okay, it is cool vintage.
But it is a M-30, not a modern Model 30.

I had imagined that you (obviously in close contact with the inner circle of TASCAM) own some unreleased special gear.
Not the Model 12, 16 or 24.
