Mute switches not affecting tape recorder
Mute switches not affecting tape recorder
I noticed my the tape recorder picking up my voice even when my mic was muted and the fader all the way down. I hit the record button and spoke and sure enough my voice got recorded. I even hit the mute button while speaking and moved the slider up and down. Neither had any affect in the recording. My entire voice was recorded. If I send my audio player to the tape recorder and speak, you hear my voice on the recording. What is going on?
Re: Mute switches not affecting tape recorder
Your are using the default PRE-FADER INPUTS option in Tape Recorder settings (the red circle on the upper left).
Switch to POST-FADER OUTPUTS option.
And activate the bus that the recorder uses for the HW Input strip of your microphone.
Then muting and slider movements will be recorded properly (including INTELLIPAN FX and Comp and Gate settings).
