Trying to use 16ch-Interface from Cubendo-DAW

Post by Juergi »

Hi,

did read in a music production forum (sequencer), that Voicemeeter Potato/Matrix/VB-Cable provide much better latency and stability than many other ASIO-drivers.

Now I am still pounding my head on how to get a single 16ch sound device into my Cubendo DAW. The speaker config is 7.1.4 for immersive audio. This should then feed into 2x HDMI outputs, each carrying 8ch. Both the HDMI-Sound-Devices are visible in Windows sound and can be used normally as 8ch-outputs each. Works fine in Potato.

Until now, I use Asio4all for the DAW. It is the only ASIO-interface (I know), which allows aggregating (bundeling) multiple sound devices into one. It does work, but has sometimes problems of unknown cause. Varying latency, crackling, loosing config etc.

Now I am hoping to get this done much better with Matrix. Just intalled it. VB-Cable too.

Within the DAW, I see multiple VASIO-Driver variants being made available. Selecting VASIO32 shows 32x available outputs and 32x inputs within the DAW, which I can assign channels to. This is how I like it.

So far so good.

But I do not see those inputs and outputs within MAtrix. Instead I see many other devices. All of them with max 8 outputs or 8 inputs.

How can I connect those outputs from the DAW to the two HDMI outputs?

Is perhaps the problem sitting in front of my computer? ;-)

Regards

Got it working. Works great.

Required only VB-Matrix (... and some blocks cleared in my head). ;-)
