No longer run the sound through Voicemeeter on WIN 11 Prof

Hello

I own Voicemeeter Potato with a Motu 828mk3.

Until a few days ago, everything worked out for the best. But since a few days I can no longer run the sound through Voicemeeter. As soon as Voicemeeter is started, no sound comes through. In the WIN 11 notebook, the output device is selected as Motu Main Out 1-2 and the input device as Voicemeeter VAIO3. If Voicemeeter is not started, the sound goes through to the sound card main output of the 828.

As I said, I have not changed anything, but suddenly it no longer works.

WIN 11 Prof 64 Bit is installed on the notebook.

What could be the problem?

seems to be a new Windows 11 update problem due to new Windows audio device parameters:

Thank you very much.

Yes, the virtual inputs were deactivated. I have activated them, but no sound comes in. For example, when I start a browser and run YOUTUBE, the programme is not assigned to a virtual input. So nothing comes out of the loudspeaker.

The microphone works, right. But otherwise, no sound source or programme (Spotify or browser).

It is strange that the "virtual output" appears under "input", as shown in the picture...

it's logical:
the Voicemeeter output is a recording device = a microphone (a windows input) in order to be used by application to capture the audio stream (coming from the related Voicemeeter output BUS).

Ok. Thank you, I understand that.

But unfortunately, Voicemeeter Potato no longer works even after Voicemeeter VAIO3 Output has been enabled. As mentioned before, I can run the microphone through Voicemeeter. But neither the browser nor the Spotify app recognises Voicemeeter VAIO 3.

It was working, but due to an update from Microsoft, it doesn't work anymore. I am not able to solve this problem.

I hope you can find a solution.

you may also check Windows Privacy settings regarding microphone...

I have checked the settings.

VM is activated, so it is allowed to access the microphone. This is probably also the reason why the microphone was the only device that worked via VM. Before the "special" MS setup, it worked all perfectly. I am working with a German version of Windows 11 Prof 64 Bit.

But what irritates me is that when I start the browser or the Spotify desktop app or any other software, none of them is visible in the field with the red arrow. Although I have defined this input as the standard input...

You know it's very difficult to help without seeing your entire configuration,
so you may at least post entire Voicemeeter screenshot (if not the same than above in previous message) and also the screenshot of your Voicemeeter System settings dialog box (see in Voicemeeter menu).

but in your case , you may go in your Windows Sound device options to check that Voicemeeter input are present in Playback device list (Voicemeeter virtual input are windows audio output).

I have found the error! :o

I had selected the Main Out of the sound card as the output and not the Voicemeeter Input!
I changed the settings and now it works as desired.

Thanks for your patience.
